BIRD BOARDWALK
Don't miss the Bird Boardwalk at the Mary Keller Seabird Rehabilitation Sanctuary during your visit to the Marine Science Center complex.
Due to the very sensitive condition of sick and injured birds, areas where patients are under treatment are not open for public viewing. However, visitors can view several birds on display along our Bird Boardwalk. Permanently impaired individuals that are not eligible for release now act as ambassadors for their species.
Have an up-close and personal encounter with our resident pair of majestic bald eagles, experience numerous shore birds like brown pelicans, great black-backed and herring gulls, and come eye to eye with raptors like the great horned owl, barred owl, screech owls, Cooper’s hawk and red shouldered hawk. Just follow the signs to the boardwalk entrance on the west side of the Marine Science Center parking lot.
