MSC gift shop to open for holiday shopping

The Marine Science Center, 100 Lighthouse Drive, Ponce Inlet, remains closed for tours, but staff will open the gift shop for holiday shopping from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 and 12, and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 18, 19 and 20.

The gift shop offers marine related jewelry, books, videos, puzzles, games, toys and houseware items, along with a custom line of T-shirts and sweatshirts featuring sea turtles and seabirds.

Shoppers will be asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. Two small groups will be admitted at a time. To schedule your time slot, contact gvelez@volusia.org or call 386-304-5513.

The turtle hospital, marine display area and bird sanctuary remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
