entrance to the mary keller seabird rehabilitation sanctuary

Don't miss the Bird Boardwalk at the Mary Keller Seabird Rehabilitation Sanctuary during your visit to the Marine Science Center complex.

Due to the very sensitive condition of sick and injured birds, areas where patients are under treatment are not open for public viewing. However, visitors can view several birds on display along our Bird Boardwalk. Permanently impaired individuals that are not eligible for release now act as ambassadors for their species.

Have an up-close and personal encounter with our resident pair of majestic bald eagles, experience numerous shore birds like brown pelicans, great black-backed and herring gulls. Just follow the signs to the boardwalk entrance on the west side of the Marine Science Center parking lot.

Head to the main building to enjoy the new Raptor Education and Conservation exhibit featuring several rescued, rehabilitated, and non-releaseable raptors.
